Justice awards to include custody and detention category

Skills for Justice awards to include 10 categories for non-frontline staff

The Inspire Justice Awards  are designed to recognise non-frontline justice sector staff - such as those in comms and marketing as well as within command and dispatch.

This year there are 10 award categories covering individuals and teams, among which are ‘Custody and Detention staff member of the year’ and ‘Learning and development programme of the year’.

The awards are already supported by a range of sponsors but now the Serve and Protect Credit Union has been added to the ranks.

The Serve & Protect CU work with employers to offer flexible savings and loans to prison, police, military and fire service members - including those who have retired but are in receipt of relevant pensions.

CEO of Serve & Protect CU Paul Norgrove said: “Serve & Protect CU is delighted to be sponsoring the inaugural Inspire Justice Awards, which recognises the vital work that our members carry out to keep our communities safe.

“The wellbeing and prosperity of our members is central to everything that we do; we are therefore proud to be able to give back and champion their achievements by supporting these awards.”

Chief Executive of Skills for Justice John Rogers added: “As the Sector Skills Council for Justice, Skills for Justice is a vocal champion of the wider justice workforce, and we have launched these awards to say ‘thank you’ to all those who have made a significant difference to the safety and security of our communities.

“To help amplify this message, we are partnering with trusted sponsors and supporters from across the justice sector and its supply chain. We are therefore delighted to have Serve & Protect CU onboard.”
