Staff side reviews pay strategy as public sector strikes loom

A reasonable pay rise coupled with zero council tax for police officers would be reasonable to me. People are leaving in droves and most have skills that take time to replace. The FED needs to be bold and not back down, we’ve been hit for over a decade and are now beyond breaking point.

'Double digit pay increases are not sustainable' according to Clarke yet he seems happy to accept that we have had a double digit real terms pay cut since 2012, with another 9% pay cut to follow this year. We have limited industrial rights but there is no quid pro quo from HMG as whilst they say they value us they have messed with our pensions, given us year on year pay cuts, left us last in line for the covid vaccine, slashed our numbers and cut funding, whist giving us nothing in return.

MY WIFE IS A POLICE ADMIN WORKER AND AS SUCH HAS NOT HAD A PAY RISE IN OVER FIVE YEARS. PLEASE KEEP CIVILIAN STAFF IN MIND WHEN NEGOTIATING

Barrie. The Police Federation dont represent Police staff. It would be their union.
