Pointless unless the courts actually impose these sentences. Previous experiences show that they do not hand down appropriate sentences with the powers they currently have. Not going to see anyone who slaps a nurse in A and E getting 2 years or anything near to it. As for assaulting the police it will be the day hell freezes over when I see a scrot getting 2 years for committing this offence.
