Scottish Police Authority warns of £40m shortfall next year
Roll on Independence, I was on a Baltic cruise one time and visited St. Petersburg in Russia. We went on a sightseeing coach trip round the city with a local English speaking guide on the coach. We came across a road traffic accident with a couple of police cars and an ambulance in attendance. This prompted the guide to talk about the local police. She told us that they were so underpaid that they were very corrupt in that if they stopped you for speeding or jumping a red light they would ask for your driving licence and if you passed it over with a 100 Rouble note they let you go with no charge, if you did not do this you got charged. Wonder if this will be the way forward for Police Scotland should then Crankie's independence ever happen?
