BMW has previous for washing its hands of any faults in their vehicles. Years ago BMW were the motorcycles of choice for most forces. A few fatal crashes where at speed the bikes developed a wobble and weave at speed were put down to rider error not the bikes being loaded with radios etc that unbalanced them at high speed. Good riddance to them.
