Met unveils new leadership team ahead of 'pivotal new chapter'

Anonanon (23/02/23 @ 17:13)

Its a bit like shuffling the deck chairs in first class while the bulk of the workforce in steerage run around trying to keep their heads above water.

Oh, the Hokey Cokey! You put your left leg in, you pull your left leg out, you shake it all about.... etc., etc. Let us revisit this party in a years time to see if the drinks have been spilled on the dance floor along with a lot of 'exited, privileged and honoured' ego's and grandiose uniform shoulder boards full of crowns, bath stars and crossed batons.

Well that's bound towork then.......

Old Skool Kind of Guy (24/02/23 @ 07:58)

surely four new DACs from outside London would have been sensible if not a little radical - but only one is from outside with the other three home grown Met officers - just a thought...

How absolutely naive, but unsurprising, almost like a 1st April stunt.

And the whole issue was about changing the culture of the Met - Lynne and Mark R were both Met senior officers and were there when many of the negative events that are now in the headlines actually happened. The same people leading the same force but with some new polish

Has the puppet cleared all these changes with his puppet master. Because the moment the wheel falls off you will not see the poison dwarf for dust. Mind you if it actually works you can watch the poison dwarf stamp all over Rowley to get the credit

No change then in reality, just shifting his friends around hoping things will change. Please Rowley can you tell us what you have actually done since you got the job that has benefited the Met. Camnnnot think of anything constructive that you have done except threaten to sack loads of officers, but none gone so far.

@Life on Mars - is Owens still in the job, she appears to be playing Ms Annnymous so far.

Squadman (27/02/23 @ 10:25)

The well-known phrase or saying which includes the words, 'papering', 'cracks' and 'pasting' comes to mind.

Mr Rowley. Well done for making a start. The issue you have cannot be measured and judging by the comments on this it looks like the support is lacking. Please prove them wrong. Whilst you are using some old faces. It is interesting that the doubters do not mention the new faces. Best of luck.
